Trabolgan
Our annual Trabolgan Holiday for local senior citizens involves us sending 30 guests for a much-needed holiday they otherwise would not get.
There is a team of dedicated Lion volunteers who accompany our guests and make sure they have a fantastic time.
Due to extensive fund raising, the entire cost of the holiday and transport is met. Many of the guests are repeat visitors and it is a highlight of their year.
They meet up with almost 600 guests from other Lions Clubs, renew friendships and partake in a wide variety of events.

A typical day is filled with activities; On the Saturday the programme included Line Dancing and Aqua Aerobics in the morning and in the afternoon there was a ‘Walk with Lions’, which is a ramble of about one km from the village centre to the main gate. There the walkers are greeted by a group of Lions musicians for a sing-along.
A game of skittles was on offer as was the ever popular ‘Lions €2 Bingo’. Dinner was followed by a Darts competition, and ‘The Greatest Grandad’ competition. The evening was rounded off with music and dancing.
There is something for everyone and a fantastic time is had by all.
