Well done to our "green fingered" Lions led by Paula & Gerry who did great work last weekend to freshen up the gardens at a Lions Club supported property in Maynooth. The service users were all delighted with the work that was completed.

A big thank you to Intel Ireland for your generosity. We, at the Maynooth Kilcock Lions Club greatly appreciate your sizable donation of €1000, your time and commitment to local worthy causes. Your continued support helps to further our mission through our local projects including our life saving defibrillators. Your understanding and help allows 24/7 access to our AED defibrillators and potentially saving someone’s life in our community. Having the funds to service them on an ongoing basis allows us to focus our ongoing efforts on our other local community projects like: 1. Trablogan Holiday Project, 30 senior citizens from North Kildare including Leixlip, Celbridge and Maynooth on a much needed holiday that they otherwise would not get. 2. Sheltered Housing Project in Maynooth, Celbridge and Clane. 3. Annual Christmas Food Appeal. 4. Annual Christmas Party at the Sheltered Housing Project. 5. Message in a bottle community health initiative. 6. Community Carer’s weekend when we provide respite for home carers and send them on a retreat break that support and relaxation. In addition to the life saving potential of our project and your support, the publicity that will generate will help raise our profile which will assist in our goal of recruiting new active members and continue strong communities ties. Stephen O’Neill President Maynooth Kilcock Lions Club.

New Maynooth Kilcock Lions Club President Stephen O' Neill received his chain of office from Scott Wallace last week. "It's an absoulte honour and privilege to take over as president of Maynooth Kilcock Lions Club. I have met some great people in this club, especially Scott, who have been driving this club forward for the past number of years. One of the best things that ever happened to me was when Peter insisted that I come along to a meeting and check it out. I'm really looking forward to the year ahead and all the work we have to do". Best of luck Stephen, we're all here to support you!
